Emergency services are attending a serious crash on the intersection of SH1 and Arowhenua Road, south of Temuka.

Police received a report of the two-car crash around 1.05pm.

Initial reports indicate that four people are injured.

Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
